Watch The Revenant

It was nominated for 172 awards and won 82. It deserved each of those nominations and should have won them all.

From all the media coverage, I knew there were several gruesome scenes, but I knew I could fast-forward or just shut my eyes. What I didn't know was it is a heart breaking, gut wrenching story. Sincerely, all I knew was a man is mauled by a bear, and his associates leave him to die.

After it was over, I spent most of the evening at YouTube immersed in cute animals, Saturday Night Live sketches, and anything else that would get rid of the overwhelming sadness.

I'm not sorry I watched it, but truthfully? I'd rather walk barefoot on Legos or stub my toe on a coffee table than to see it again.
