February 6, 2017 - Art Appreciation do you need to agree with an artist's lifestyle or politics to appreciate their art? Spend money on it?

Yes and no.

As far as sexual preference, and for the most part, politics, no. Everyone is allowed to love who they choose (as long as everyone is of legal age in their municipality, and consenting), and as much as I hate to admit it, everyone is allowed their opinion on politics. Substance abuse is never a good thing but I wasn't consulted, so I wish them the best and pray for their recovery.

If said artist is a total asshole, like Ted Nugent for example, I won't spend a penny to support them. It doesn't matter how talented they are in any medium, I want no part of it.

Nice to meet you! I had to leave LJ because they moved their servers to Russia and I'm all about being protected by the First Amendment.

I set a goal and will attempt to post every day for a year. Here's hoping I can..
