Happy New Year!

So, I’ve decided to make a commitment and try my best to stick with it throughout this year. I chose one that I thought I would be able to stick to without getting frustrated or overwhelmed. I’m going to write a daily post with the help of a little booklet I found – 365 Writing Prompts.

Okay, here goes!

January 1, 2017 – Stroke of Midnight – where were you last night when 2016 turned into 2017? Is it where you wanted to be?

I’m going to be brutally honest and disclose personal information about my addictions and obsessions… I was at Wal-Green’s at the stroke of midnight, buying AA batteries. My USB keyboard had died and I actually drove to the store to buy fresh batteries.

However, I met Leslie’s co-workers, Candace, Melissa, and Terry. I also bought a bottle of sparkling red grape juice for the wiener kids, who were with Josh at the house.

When I arrived home, we broke out the good crystal, popped open the "wine" and toasted the new year.

Is it where I wanted to be? Absolutely! Since I couldn’t ring in the new year snogging Russell Crowe, I cherish being with Leslie, Curtis, and Jasmine. It’s the best place on the planet!
