Keyboard Snafu

schadenfreudeSending out an SOS to all my tech-y friends. I posted this over to the other mega social networking site, but I realize not everyone reads there.
Acer Aspire One 532h running Win 7, just barely a year old. When I press Fn + F11, the number lock indicator light comes on. When I press the numeric keys (j-k-l-u-i-o) nothing happens. No characters appear, not even the corresponding letters.
Any idears?
