No prompt today – I want to talk about a movie I just watched.
A traveling Shakespeare troupe arrives at a lodge/resort for their latest production of MacBeth. Two of the actors are having an illicit affair, one wants out of her marriage and the other wants to be famous. They intentionally break the tradition of speaking the true name instead of calling it "The Scottish Play", and all Hell breaks loose.
There are some funny moments, but it is not a comedy. There are some serious jump scares, and intense moments. No real gore, it isn't a slasher film, but the ghosts, witches, and totally traumatized human cast make this a very fun watch.
I give it 7/10 stars.
