  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a HUGE Star Trek fan. At an NAACP fundraiser at UCLA, he convinced Nichelle Nichols to stay on the show when she was thinking about leaving to work on Broadway.
  • Bill Murray was arrested in 1970 for trying to smuggle ten pounds of marijuana through Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
