Someone Please Explain

On June 5, I ordered something on line and paid via PayPal. I like to use that service whenever possible because they will reimburse 100% of the purchase price if something goes wrong with the transaction.
So, on June 7, when I had not received a notice from the website that my order had been received, I used the "contact us" email. Late that night, close to 11pm, I received a response stating that my order had been received, my payment has processed, and that I should receive my item no later than June 14.
Today, when I still had not received my item, I called the number on the website and reached their voicemail. I left a message asking that someone call or email me with some type of information because I was seriously thinking of contacting PayPal for a refund. That was at 8:30am.
Approximately nineteen minutes ago, I received an email with the FedEx tracking information. When I went to the FedEx site to track, the package hadn't even been picked up yet, they'd only just received the pick up request.
And? Now I feel guilty; like I've thrown a big baby fit to get my way.
Yes, the item I ordered is something I've wanted for a very long time. Yes, I've been stashing back little bits of money here and there so I could order it. Yes, this company has shitty customer service. But, I still feel guilty.
Maybe it is due to working at a physician's office for so many years and having patients crab at me because they didn't feel well, were frustrated and/or scared.
I keep telling myself that I wasn't ugly, I kept a polite, respectful tone, I didn't make accusations or insult anyone, but that hasn't helped.
*sigh*
Am I completely insane?
