I absolutely adore ambergris, but cannot and will not buy it due to sperm whales classified as endangered. There was a shop here in town that little waxy cubes, that smelled exactly like ambergris, that we could rub on pulse points. I'm sure it was synthetic because it was after the ban in 1973. However, the shop is gone and I haven't been able to find anything remotely similar since the late 1990's.

I'll definitely look for Juliette Has A Gun!
